Protokolle eilen zur Rettung

In der ersten Hälfte dieses Artikels schlage ich vor, in eine Welt zurückzukehren, in der Protokolle und keine Plattformen das Internet dominieren. Es besteht Grund zu der Annahme, dass das Protokollsystem viele der von Plattformen aufgeworfenen Probleme lösen kann, aber es kann durch Minimierung der Probleme erreicht werden, die Protokollen vor Jahrzehnten inhärent waren.

Bis es eine universelle Lösung für das Problem gibt, könnte ein Protokollsystem dazu dienen, sowohl die Privatsphäre der Benutzer als auch die Redefreiheit besser zu schützen. Dies erfordert die Minimierung der Auswirkungen von anstößigem Online-Verhalten und die Schaffung überzeugender neuer Geschäftsmodelle, die auf die Interessen der Benutzer abgestimmt sind.
